Adding your DirectAdmin Reseller Account in WHMCS

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to connect your DirectAdmin Reseller account within WHMCS. WHMCS is a popular billing and automation platform for web hosting businesses.

Prerequisites

Before you proceed, make sure you have the following:

  1. DirectAdmin Reseller Account: Ensure that you have a DirectAdmin Reseller account. If you don't have a Reseller Hosting account and would like to get one, you can view our reseller plans with DirectAdmin here.

  2. WHMCS Installation: Ensure you have a working WHMCS installation, we also have a guide on Installing WHMCS directly through Softaculous if you still need to install it.

Steps to Connect your DirectAdmin Reseller Account within WHMCS

Step 1: Activate the DirectAdmin Reseller Module

  1. In the WHMCS admin dashboard, navigate to Setup and select Products/Services.

  2. Click on the Servers tab.

  3. Click on the "Add New Server" button.

  4. Fill in the required fields, such as:

  5. Name: Enter a name for the server (e.g., Server 1).
  6. Hostname/IP: Provide the IP address or hostname of your DirectAdmin server.
  7. Type: Select DirectAdmin from the drop-down menu.
  8. Username/Password: Enter your DirectAdmin Reseller account's username and password.

  9. Secure: Choose Yes if you want to use a secure connection (recommended).

  10. Click on Save Changes to add the server.

Step 2: Configure Product/Service

  1. Still in the WHMCS admin dashboard, go to Setup and select Products/Services.

  2. Click on "Create a New Group" to create a new product group for your DirectAdmin Reseller services. (e.g., Web Hosting).

  3. Click on "Create a New Product" to set up a new product.

  4. Fill in the product details, including:

  5. Product Type: Choose Hosting Account from the drop-down menu.
  6. Product Group: Select the group you created in the previous step.
  7. Module: Choose DirectAdmin from the drop-down menu.

  8. Other configurable options: Set pricing, billing cycle, etc., as per your requirements.

  9. Click on Save Changes to create the product.

That is all that is required to connect your DirectAdmin Reseller Account with WHMCS and add your first hosting plan. You can also view your hosting plans directly in your Client Area > Store
