The most important types of backups are "Full" backups and the "Home Directory" backups, which we will explain below:
Full Backups¶
These are "full" backups like the name implies. This will revert your entire hosting account back to that specific backup date. It will remove any present or "new" data you have added after the backup date and should be used with caution.
Home Directory Backups¶
Home Directory backups allow you to only restore specific folders or files, this is useful if you accidentally deleted an individual file or folder and is typically our recommended way of restoring through JetBackup.
Step 3: Restoring your backup option¶
Restoring Full Backups¶
- Click on the "Full Backups" square.
- Select the date you would like to restore.
- Click on Restore.
Your backup will now commence. You can visit the "Queue" page within JetBackup to view its status.
Restoring Home Directory Backups¶
- Click on the "Home Directory" square.
- Select the date you would like to restore.

It will now load your accounts files and folders. Select the files or folders you would like to restore by selecting the checkbox next to them. Please bear in mind that if the selected file or folder already exists it will overwrite it. Once you have selected the required folders and files that you would like to restore, click on the "Select Files" button.
- Now click on the "Restore" button to restore the files you have selected in Step 4.
Your backup will now commence. You can visit the "Queue" page within JetBackup to view its status.
